Holly Probst, M.S., CCC-SLP.
Your Specialist in Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders
Holly has been a pediatric speech therapist for almost a decade. When her daughter was born, she had difficulty with breastfeeding. Her daughter had a tongue tie and lip tie. It was then that she began her journey towards becoming a specialist in orofacial myofunctional disorders. She has felt that she has since found the missing link that has enabled her to more efficiently and effectively treat her patients with speech sound disorders and more.
She was born and raised in Houston. She graduated from The University of Texas in Austin with a degree in Psychology and then received her Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from The University of Texas in Dallas, a nationally acclaimed program. She is licensed through the state of Texas and certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and has worked all over the greater Houston area in home health, outpatient clinics, and private practice while collaborating with a number of different professionals. She is certified in the Beckman Oral Motor Protocol and the Tr-eat model for feeding/behavior therapy, and has completed extensive training with Dr. Edythe Strand in childhood apraxia of speech (CAS).
When She’s not working with families, she loves spending time with her husband and two kids, travelling, and reading.
“My son started speech therapy with Holly at 3.5 years old. He loved to talk, but no one could understand what he was saying. Holly’s approach towards teaching/correcting his articulation was just what he needed. My son enjoyed his sessions and as a parent, we appreciated the recommendations she provided for at-home practice. By the time my son started kindergarten, his speech was right on track for his age and he was able to fully “graduate” from therapy by 2nd grade. Today he is a strong and confident speaker and I attribute those skills to Holly.”
